CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7891
ACKNOWLEDGING LESSEE'S EXERCISE OF OPTION TO RENEW LEASE OF
CITY-OWNED TIDELANDS TO ALASKA PACKERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
(FORTRAN BASIN)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 911, New Series, passed March 4, 1947, the City and
Alaska Packers Association, Inc., a California corporation, entered into a lease by said Association
of certain City-owned tide and submerged land, by the terms of Paragraph 5 of which said lease Lessee
was granted the right and option to renew same for a further term of twenty-five (25) years,
commencing April 5, 1972, and ending April 4, 1997, upon the sane terms and conditions as contained
therein, except the right to renew further; and
WHEREAS, Lessee, on March 30, 1971, notified the City of its exercise of said right and
option to renew,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the exercise by
said Lessee of its right to renew said lease for a further term of 25 years, commencing April 5, 1972,
and ending April 4, 1997, is hereby acknowledged.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
7th day of March, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: Councilman McCall, (1).
ABSENT: None,
