CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7905
REQUESTING ACCUMULATION OF CITY'S 1971-72 AND 1972-73
APPORTIONED TOPICS FUNDS
WHEREAS, by Resolution Nos. 7588 and 7637, adopted by this Council on February 3, 1970,
and June 16, 1970, respectively, the City of Alameda has and is participating in a federal highway
safety program entitled, "Traffic Operations Planning to Increase Capacity and Safety" (TOPICS):
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with recommendations of TOPICS Advisory Committee the City of
Alameda was allocated the sums of $30,476.00 and $30,476.00 as its share of the state's apportion-
ment of Federal TOPICS Funds for fiscal years 1971-72 and 1972-73; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable to accumulate said sums and combine same with a future
year's allocation for the purpose of financing a more substantive program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Chairman
of the Interim Topics Advisory Committee of the State of California, the Alameda County TOPICS
Fund Group (ACTED), and such other agencies as may be involved, are hereby notified that the City
of Alameda wishes to accumulate its 1971-72 and 1972-73 apportioned funds and combine said funds
with another fiscal year's apportionment, to be designated by the City Manager; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, upon recommendation of the City Engineer,
is hereby authorized to take such action on behalf of the City as may be necessary or convenient
to effect the purpose hereof, and to do and perform any other matters in cooperation and coordina-
tion with said State and County agencies.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
18th day of April, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President Le Croix, Jr., (5).
