AMENDING SALARY RESOLUTION NO. 7806 BY CREATING ONE (l)
ADDITIONAL POSITION OF POLICE CAPTAIN; BY CREATING SIX
(6) ADDITIONAL POSITIONS OF POLICE SERGEANT; AND BY
DELETING FOUR (4) POSITIONS OF POLICE OFFICER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Resolution No. 7806, adopted
July 13, 1971, be amended by creating one (1) additional position of Police Captain, by creating
six (6) additional positions of Police Sergeant and by deleting four (4) positions of Police Officer
in the Police Department, es follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be May 1, 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this Resolution shall supersede those
portions of Resolution No. 7806, and of any other resolution in conflict herewith, and all such
conflicting provisions are, to the extent cf such conflict only, hereby repealed.
