CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7916
DECLARING INTENTION TO OBLIGATE FISCAL YEAR 1971-72 AND
1972-73 TOPICS ALLOCATIONS AND ASSIGNING FISCAL YEAR
1971-72 TOPICS ALLOCATIONS TO COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 7637, adopted June 16, 1970, the City of Alameda became
a member of the "Alameda County TOPICS Fund Group," hereinafter referred to as ACTFG, to provide
for c000erative action by the County and cities within Alameda County to implement the Federal
Government's "Traffic Operations Program to Increase Capacity and Safety," hereinafter referred to
as TOPICS; and
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda is the Coordinating Agent for ACTFG;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that this City
Council finds it is in the best interests cf ACTFG members for Alameda County, as Coordinating
Agent, to receive and to hold all TOPICS allocations of ACTFG members for fiscal year 1971-72, for
appropriate distribution to ACTFG members with approved projects;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council hereby announces its intention to obligate
its fiscal year 1971-72 TOPICS apportionment by application of Rule 1.c of the "Rules Regarding
Use of TOPICS Funds" in assigning this apportionment to the County of Alameda, as Coordinating Agent
for ACTFG;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council hereby announces its intention to obligate
its fiscal year 1972-73 TOPICS apportionment by application of either Rule 1.a. or Rule 1.c. of
the "Rules Regarding Use of TOPICS Funds," the appropriate Rule to be determined at a later date;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with the "Objectives and Rules" of ACTFG, the
allocations received by the Coordinating Agent will be reassigned appropriately to ACTFG members
with approved projects;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that four (4) certified copies of this resolution be sent to the
Director of Public Works, County of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
2nd day of May, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).

ABSENT: None.
