CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 7960
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY AND COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, RELATING TO FORMER HEALTH
DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, on June 25, 1957, the County of Alameda by its Resolution No. 84058, and the
City, by its Resolution No. 5638, entered into a written agreement by which said County assumed
certain functions of the City Health Officer; and
WHEREAS, "Appendix 6, an attachment to said agreement, set forth the retirement and
other rights of the City's Health Department employees transferred to the County; and
WHEREAS, it is now mutually desirable and in the best public interest that said
"Appendix 13" be amended, and the City's Retirement Board, at a special meeting held June 29, 1972,
unanimously recommended to this Council that said agreement be amended and modified by amending
"Appendix 5" in the manner proposed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City
Manager and City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest
to, respectively, on behalf of the City, an amendment to that certain agreement between the City
and the County of Alameda, hereinabove referred to, amending and modifying "Appendix B" thereof,
said amendment to be substantially in the form of that filed in the Office of the City Clerk and
marked, "Filed July 18, 1972.'

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
18th day of July, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Levy, Longaker and President Le Croix, Jr., (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Fore and McCall, (2).
