ADOPTING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT RESPECTING PROJECT
PROPOSED BY SUTTER HILL, LTD.

WHEREAS, Sutter Hill, Ltd., a California corporation, has proposed to construct a neigh-
borhood shopping center to be located generally on the northeast end of the City, north of the inter-
section of Blanding Avenue and Broadway, being the industrial area occupied by the Loop Lumber Yard
and by Cal-Rock Concrete Plant, and zoned M-2; and
WHEREAS, in connection therewith the City intends to vacate portions of said streets, and
to sell to said developer real property fronting on Pearl Street not now used by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City, in compliance with the state Environmental Quality Act of 1970, has
made and prepared an environmental impact report covering the effects said project will have on the
environment, said effects being hereby found and determined to be significant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the certain
document prepared by the City Planning Department entitled, "Environmental Impact Report of the City
of Alameda Regarding Sutter hill, Ltd., Proposed Project No. EIR 72-1," filed in the office of the
City Clerk on November 9, 1972, be and hereby is adopted as the said report required by the Environ-
mental Quality Act of 1970, this Council Finding said report to be in compliance with said Act.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
21st day of November, 1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Longaker, (1).
