CITY OF MAMMA FESOLUTION NO. 8046
ADOPTING OBJECTIVES, CRITERIA, PROOESUBES AND GUIDELINES
FOR EVALUATIONS OE PROJECTS AND PREPARATION OF ENVIRON-
MENTAL IMPACT REPORTS PURSUANT TO STATE ENVIRONMENTAL
QUALITY ACT OF 1970 Al AMENDED
UHEREAS, pursuant to the state Environmental. Quality Act of 1970 (Secs. 2/C00 and
following, Public Resources Code of California) the Secretary of the state Resources Agency
has adopted the guidelines required by said Act; and
WHEaEAS, Section 21082 of said Code
objectives, criteria and procedures for the
and the preparation of environmental impact
criteria and procedures shall be consistent
by said Secretary of the Resources Agency;
provides that all public agencies shall adopt
evaluation of projects (as defined in said Act)
reports pursuant thereto, which objectives,
with said Act and with the guidelines adopted
and
WHEREAS, after hearings and consideration by the City's Planning Board, there has been
prepared, and submitted to this Council with said Boardts recommendation for approval and adop-
tion, a document entitled, "Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality
Act of 1970 by and for the City of Alameda, California," which contains the said objectives,
criteria and procedures for the evaluation of projects contemplated by said Act, and which are
consistent with said Act and with the said guidelines adopted by the Secretary of the Resources
Agency;
NOW, mffEaMPORE, BE IT nEsoLvED BY THE COOCIL OF 180 ITY OF ALAMEDA that the document
hereinabove referred to he and hereby is adopted, pursuant to Section 21082, Public Resources
Code of California, by the City of Alameda as the objectives, criteria and procedures for the
evaluation of projects contemplated by the said Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended,
and for the preparation of environmental impact reports pursuant to said Act; and
BE IT FUMY= RESOLVED that said document, a true copy of which. is attached to this
resolution, be filed in the Office of the City. Clerk, and sufficient copies placed for public
inspection and referral in the Planning Department aad in the Office of the City Engineer; and
DE IT FURT1B0 RESOLVED that copies thereof be furnished to the public and other
interested parties upon payment to the City Clerk of the reasonable ccst of reproduction thereof.
