REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
(PARCELS 2 AND 3, PARCEL MAP NO. 970; HOLLY STREET - FIR
AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California, described as follows:
County Parcel Map 74, Block 1032, Parcel 19, Subparcel 2; and
County Parcel Map 74, Block 1032, Parcel 18, Subparcel 7,
has been assessed heretofore for County purposes for the fiscal year 1972-1973,
and taxes levied thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said
real property, it was, by Grant Deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of Alameda County on December 22, 1972, Reel 3304, Image 788, Recorder's No.
72-172027, acquired and ever since has been and now is owned by the City of
Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public purposes and because of
such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby
requested to make its order, and to take such further proceedings as may be
necessary to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs charged
or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real property, to be
cancelled, as follows:
Tracer No. 44427520 in the amount of $163.29 for land and improvements;
Tracer No. 44427453 in the amount of $82.33 for land only;
and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having
custody of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section
4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward four (4) certified
copies of this Resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Alameda.

was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assesmbled on the 21st day of August, 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:

La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
