wimas, pursuant to law the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Day Farm Island
Reclamation District No. 2105, at least seven days prior to the final date for receiving
petitions for the office of trustee would be received not later than 5:00 p.m. on September
13, 1973, (said date being the 54th day before an election to he held in said District on
Tuesday, November 6, 1973);
VIEREAS, orr three petitions for office or trustee were filed by said: time and date;
WHEREAS, the number of trustees to be elected at said election is three (two for a
four—year term and one for a two—year term), and the number of nominees does not exceed the
number of trustees to be elected; and
WIEREAC, a petition signed by 5 (or any other) percent of the voters requesting that
the election be held has not been presented to the Board of Trustees of said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council cf the City of Alameda, as follows:
Section I. Pursuant to Section 50740 of the Water Code o2 the State of California,
an election shall not be held in Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 on November
6, 1973, for the porpcse of electing trustees of said District.
Section 2, The persons duly nominated for the positions of trustee, namely
Bruce T. Hitchell, Dennis C. Hagones and A. T. Wiemken, are each hereby appointed to the office
of trustees of Say Farm island Reclamation District No. 2105. The terms of office of 3race
T. Mitchell and A. T. Wieniken are to be for a term of four years commencing November 6, 1973.
The term of office of Dennis G. Fagones is to be for a term of two years commencing on said date.
PASSED AND ADOPITD this 18th day of September, 1973, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Cerise., Hurwitz, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
