ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA EIGHT (8) NEW
1974 MODEL FOUR -DOOR INTEFMEDIATE SIZE LAW ENFORCEMENT SEDANS FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
RESOLVED BY TRH' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Specifications and Provisions
far furnishing to the City of Alameda (8) new 1Q74 model four -door intermediate size law
enforcement sedans for the Police Department the City reserves the right, at its option,
to reduce the quantity to seven (7) each), No, MSP 12 -79 -4, filed in the office of the City
Clerk on December 11, 1973, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed
bids up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on WEDNESDAY, January 2, 1974, for the furnishing
to the City of said automobiles, in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions.
Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under
sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Eight (8) New 1974 Model
Four -Door Intermediate Size Law Enfordement Sedans," or similar desienation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of
said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -Star, a notice
calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
Specifications and Provisions.
the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned
regular meeting assembled on the 'filth day of December, 1973, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beokam, Corica, Hurwitz, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
