December 18, 1973, at the Council Chamber located in the City Hail, at the hour of 8 o,clock p.m. thereof, and show cause, if any he had, why said structure shoUld not be conderned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or repairing said structure, or by lazing or removing same; and WDEMEAM, said hearing coming on regularly at the noticed time and place, the Corsica having received the testimony and. heard. the proofs offered by representatives of the City hereinabove referred to, the said owner, Jack Walker, not having appeared either personally 0' by a representative, and. the Council thereupon having considered said matter and beimg then fully advised in the premises, and continuing the mattur to this date for the purpose of adopting the resolution required by Section 10-423 of said Municipal Code. Now, THmEruRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALMEDA: (I) That it is hereby found and ,,,.0T 10 that the residential. structure located on. premises 0"' 08 designated as 888 Oak Street, Alameda, California, is, and for many years has been, structurally unsafe end dangerous, constitutes a fire hazard, is danmerous to hmman life and con- stitutes a public health, safety and, welfare haward by reason of its lack of maintenance, dilapi- dation, obsolescence and. abandonment, and is thus in violation of Section. 203, Alameda Building Code, and other ordinances of the City; (2) That the eleven particulars contained in the fourth recital hereof, stating the reasons why said structure is in violation of said Code and ordinances, are hereby found to be true; (3) That by reason thereof said. structure is hereby found and determined. to be a public nuiance Which is hereby ordered to be abated by reconstructing or properly repairing eerie, or hy razing or removing same from the premises; (g) That the owner be and he hereby le directed and ordered to cause said abatement within thirty days from the passage of thia resolution, and that the Building inspector cause a copy hereof to be posted conspicuously on said structure and claid another copy to said.
