EEFHEOVE, A Special Annicipal Election was held in the City of Alameda on Tuesday,
January 22, 1974, under and pursuant to the previsions of Article XX of the Charter of said City,.
for the gurrose of suImdtting to the qualified electors, on petition signed by thirty per cent of
the registered electors, two questions of recall, the proposals known as "Measure Au and
"Measure E", and the Ilex= of -persons who have been. nominated as candidates to succeed ono 02 the
other of the respective officers sougtt to be recalled, 11 the event either such officer is
recalled by said elecion; and

newspager of said City, the last publication thereof being more than five (.5) days before the dads: of

of the County of ATIereda, State of CaCifotria, as the election precincts within tho City of Alameda
for holding general State and. county elections — as the election precincts for holding the aforesaid

as prescribed by law, and a. sample ballot was mailed to each voter of the City of Alameda within
the time and in the Danner provided by law and such mailing pas completed at least ten (10) whole
days preceding the date of said. election; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND FERIAE= that the aforesaid Measure D, not having received
majority of the number of votes cast, was, and it is hereby declared to be, defeated, and said
Weber shall continue in hls said office.
