AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8046 ADOPTING OBJECTIVES, CRITERIA,
PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES FOR EVALUATIONS OF PROJECTS AND
PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS PURSUANT TO
STATE ISPERO113' NT3 1 1 QUALITY An' OF 197G. AS AMENDED g
WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Environmental Quality Act of 1990, (Secs. 21000 and
following, Public Resources Code of California) the Secretary of the state Resources Agency haa
3(10 ,C. the guidelines required by said Act and adopted by. Resolution No. 8046, City of Alameda;
and
HEREAS, Section 21.082 cf said Code provides that all puLlic agencies shall adnpt
objectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of projects (as defined in said Act) and
the preparation of environmental impact reports pursuant thereto, which objectives, criteria and
procedures shall be consistent with said Act and with 1.11 guidelines adopted by said Secretary
of the Resources Agency; ard.
WERREAS, after consideration by the City's Planning Board, there has been preared, a'13 .
submitted to this Council with said Board's recumpendation for approval and adoption, a deo:A:pent
entitled, "City of Alameda Amended (12 1. Guidelines First of a Series - December 19, 1973,' vtich
contains the said objectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of projects contemplated
by said Act, and which are consistent with said Aot and with the said guidelines, and amendments
thereto, adopted by the Secretary of the Resources Agency:
TEEREFORE, LE IT DISSOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITI OF ALAMEDA that the doors-sent
"2 (1.13 referred to be and hereby is adopted, pursuant to Section 21082, Public Resources
Code of California, by the City of Alameda as the objectives, criteria and procedures for the
evaluation of projects contemplated 0- the said Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended,
and for the preparation of environmental impact reprrts pursuant to said Act; and
EE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said document, a true copy of which is attached. to this
resolution, be filed in the Office of the City Clerk, and sufficient copies placed fer public
inspection and referral in the Planning Department and in the Office of the City Engineer; and
BE IT ITIMT, n[10.11,',/ED that cories thereof 1:,e: furnished to the public and Other :inter-
ested parties upon cazonemi: to the City Clerk. of' the reasonable cost of reproduction ,o 13; and
RE IT FORMER MSG= that the above entitled document shall be attached to "Guidelines
for implementation of the California Enviraraental Quality Act of 1370 by and for the City of
Alaeda, Oalcifornia,,, as an addentum thereto; and
PEE IT FURIERE FESSODE0 that this resolution shall be effective on February 15, 1974.
