CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 3234
ESTABLISHING INITIAL MEMBERSHIP OF DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
WHEREAS, Ordinance No, 1716 N.S., passed May 7, 1974, and effective June 7, 1974,
added Sections 11-2U through 11-246 to the Alameda Municipal Code creating the Design Review
Board of the City of Alameda, set forth the purpose and duties and provided for the membership
thereof; and
WHEREAS, Sections 11-221 and 11-222 of said Code provide that said Board shall consist
of one registered architect, one registered landscape architect, architect, or building designer,
one member from the Planniny board, and two members shall be citizens of the City at large with
an interest in community design; and that of the first five regular members of said Board one
shall be appointed for a term of one year, one for a term of two years, two for a term of three
years and one for a term of four years;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that upon nomination
in the manner required by said Ordinance the following persons are hereby appointed as initial
members of the Cesign Review Board of the City of Alameda, to take office on July 1, 1974, for
the Period of time specified, and to serve until a successor is appointed and is qualified:

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled or the 16th day of July, 1974., by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Hurwitz, and Vice President Carica, (3).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (2).
