AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF' AMENDMENT TO LEASE BETWEEN CITY AND
SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY
WHEREAS, by agreement dated March 26, 1969, the City (authorized hy its Resolution No.
7428) and Southern Pacific Company (now, Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a corporation)
entered'into a lease of certain real property owned by said Company, and located near the Makassar
Housing Project; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest that said instrument be amended by
increasing the area se leased for recreation purposes, and that all of the other terms thereof
remain in force,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor and
City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to, respec-
tively, on behalf of the City, an amendment to the lease hereinabove referred to, said amendment
to be substantially in the form of that Supplemental Agreement, Lease Nc. 159599, heretofore placed
on file in the office of the City Clerk and marked "Filed, August 6, 1974."

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City cf Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
6th day of August, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
