CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8257
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER OF SALE FROM ALASKA PACKERS
ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS, Alaska Packers Association, Inc., owners of a 3.616 acre parcel of land bordered
by Buena Vista Avenue, Pacific Aveoue, Benton Street and Sherman Street, which parcel constitutes
approximately 80 percent of the Northside Park site in the City of Alameda, has offered to sell
said parcel to the City; and
WHEREAS, after negotiations, agreement has been reached with Cal Pak Properties, real
estate representative for Alaska Packers Association, Inc, for the purchase of said parcel for
the sum of $195,000,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the offer
of sale from Alaska Packers Association, Inc. for the 3.616 acre parcel of land bordered by
Buena Vista Avenue, Pacific Avenue, Benton Street and Sherman Street be, and hereby is,
accepted and that the Mayor be authorized to sign any and all necessary documents required to
complete this sale.

1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
17th day of September, 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Curica, Hurwitz, McCall and President Le Croix, Jr. , (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
