Resolution 08275CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8275 OPPOSING CONSOLIDATION OF THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL COURT WITH OAKLAND-PIEDMONT JUDICIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Honorable Board of Supervisors of Alameda County a request to study the advisability of consolidating the Alameda Judicial District with the Oakland-Piedmont Judicial District; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, which is coterminous with the Alameda Judicial District, is a city and district with a population in excess of 74,500 persons; and WHEREAS, such a proposed consolidation of Courts would be a disservice to the City and result in great inconvenience to its citizens; and WHEREAS, the proposed consolidation of Courts would have a negative economic impact on the operations of the Alameda Police Department, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby opposes consolidation of the Alameda Municipal Court with the Oakland-Piedmont Judicial District. * * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and reyularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of October, 1974, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Corica, Hurwitz, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5), NOES: None.
