RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN COMMENDATION
OF FRANK I. MADIGAN, SHERIFF OF ALAMEDA COUNTY
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Council of the City of Alameda that January 7,
1975, will mark the date of the retirement of FRANK I. MADIGAN as Sheriff of the County of Alameda;
and
WHEREAS, Sheriff Madigan's service since his employment by the County of Alameda in 1933
has reflected the highest standards of dedication to the growth and development of the Alameda County
Sheriff's Department, to which he has brought distinction and great honor; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as Sheriff many notable improvements have been accomplished
which have greatly benefited the cities and the people of the County of Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby commends
this outstanding public servant for his devotion tc the interests of the citizens of the City and
of the County, and expresses its appreciation for the spirit of cooperation he has unfailingly
displayed in his contacts with the governmental officials and the offices of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby extends to
SHERIFF FRANK 1. MADIGAN sincere felicitations upon his retirement and best wishes for his continued
good health and happiness.
