AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ALA1130.A TO INCUR COSTS FOR THE PLANNING
AND PREPARATION OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS AVAILABLE UNDER THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has determined that the City
of Alameda is entitled to $267,000 of Community Development Block Grant Funds under the Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda recognizes that the Department of Housing and Urban Development
will allow up to ten percent (10%) of its above entitlement amount Dr $26,700 to be used to incur
costs for the planning and preparation of an application for funds available under the Community
Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda recognizes that reimbursement for such costs will be depen-
dent upon the availability of funds to implement the above act and submission of a timely applica-
tion in accordance with regulations promulgated pursuant thereto at 24 C.F.R. 570; and
WHEREAS, the costs incurred for the above activities may be reimbursed from an advance
of funds pursuant to 24 C.F.R. 570.302,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the City of
Alameda to incur costs up to the amount of $26,700 for the planning and preparation of an appli-
cation for funds available under the Community Development Block Grant Prograal.
