CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8317
REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED
BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (3.516 ACRE PARCEL
LOCATED BETWEEN BUENA VISTA AVENUE AND PACIFIC AVENUE, AND BETWEEN
SHERMAN STREET AND BENTON STREET).
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameca, State of
California, described as County Parcel No. 72-352-1 has been assessed heretofore for County purposes
for the fiscal year 1974-1975, and taxes levied thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said real property, it
was, by Grant Deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on January 31,
1975 on Reel 3867, Images 418 through 424, Serial Nos, 75-12571 and 75-12572, acquirec, and ever
since has been and now is owned by the City of Alameda, and because of such public ownership is not
subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and to take
such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties
or costs charged or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real property, to be
cancelled; and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or offters having custody
of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward four (4) certified copies of this Resolution
forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.
