CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA SUPPORTING
ASSEMBLY BILL NO, 1551 REQUIRING REGISTRATION WITH THE STATE BOARD
CF REGISTRATION FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AS AN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER
AS A PREREQUISITE TO THE PRACTICE OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is vitally concerned with safeguarding life, health, property
and public welfare of the people of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, the responsibility of industrial engineers is to assist in safeguarding life,
health, property and public welfare in industry, commerce, governmental and service fields;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Council hereby
expresses its support of Assembly Bill No, 1551 requiring registration with the State Board of
Registration for Professional Engineers as an industrial engineer as a prerequisite to the practice
of industrial engineering.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the State Assembly-
men composing the Assembly Committee on Finance, Insurance and Commerce,
