REQUESTING COUNTY OF ALAMEDA INCLUDE CITY OF ALAMEDA PROJECT IN
TABULATION OF SAFER ROADS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM PROJECTS TO BE
SUBMITTED TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of Transportatior, is adminis-
tering the allocation of Federal funds to be made available under the provisions of the Safer
Roads Demonstration Program, Section 730 of the 1973 National Highway Safety Act; and
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda and the cities within the County of Alameda have agreed
upon an apportionment basis of the said Federal funds wherein each participating agency will receive
an equitable portion of said Federal funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has selected the following listed project for utilization
of its Federal funds apportionment:
Removal of old style culverts which have vertical
drop-off headwalls and replacement with City of Alameda
standard culverts which have hazard free curb inlets.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council
recognizes the need for this project and does hereby request that the County of Alameda include
this project in the tabulation of proposed Safer Roads Demonstration Program projects to be sub-
mitted to the State of California by the aforesaid County of Alameda.

3rd day of June, 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
