CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 83E4
AUTHORIZING INCREASE IN MILEAGE ALLOWANCE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES
USING THEIR PRIVATELY OWNED AUTOMOBILES ON CITY BUSINESS
WHEREAS, certain employees of the City of Alameda have occasion to utilize their
privately owned automobiles on official City business; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and equitable that said employees be fairly compensated
for such use; and
WHEREAS, the present rate of compensation therefor, to wit: ten cents (10d) Per
mile; provided, however, that single usages exceeding fifty (50) miles round trip are compen-
sated at the rate of seven cents (7d) per mile; was established on August 7, 1962;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the sum of
fifteen cents (15d) per mile for the first three hundred (300) miles and twelve cents (12d)
per mile thereafter be and the said sums are, hereby allowed said employees using their
privately owned automobiles on official City business.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of June, 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
