CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 84213
DESIGNATING HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AS PUBLIC
HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR PURPOSES OF MAKING APPLICATION FOR AND
ADMINISTRATION OF SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, federal law requires the designation of a Public Housing Authority (PHA) for the
purpose of arranging responsibility for the preparation of an application for, and administration of
the Section 8 Existing Housinc Assistance Payments Program; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda is, and has been the governmental
entity authorized to engage in the development and operation of housing for low-income families:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby
designates the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda as the Public Housing Authority (PHA) for
purposes of making application for and the administration of the Section 8 Existing Housing
Assistance Payments Program.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
7th day of October, 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
