CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 8513
SUPPORTING AB 3784 REQUIRING INCLUSION OF AIRPORT NOISE
ABATEMENT PROGRAM IR FORMULATION OF REQUIRED COMPREHENSIVE
LAND USE PLANS
WHEREAS, existing law requires an airport land use commission to formulate a compre-
hensive land use plan; and
WHEREAS, the commission may make a public agency reconsider its actions if the
commission determines that the action or regulation of the public agency within the boundaries cf
the plan is inconsistent or would he harmful, and
WHEREAS, AB 3784 would provide that a land use plan would not be valid nor a determination
of inconsistency or harmfulness be valid unless the plan contained an airport noise abatement
program; and
WHEREAS. AB 3784 would further provide for such invalidity where the determination was
based on a finding that any land uses in the plan are incompatible with aircraft noise, where
land uses lie outside the area for which the airport was responsible for airport noise compliance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council
endorses AB 3784.
