CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8517
REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
'CATALINA AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, described as:
Account No. 74-1076-1, Deed 475-107456
Account No. 74-1059-133-2, deed No. 75-107455, and
Account No. 74-1069-2-7, Deed No. 75-107455,
has been assessed heretofore for County purposes and taxed levied thereon are uncollected and
unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessments and taxes became a lien on said property, the
City of Alameda, at its regular meeting of February 1, 1972, by its Minute Order 49, accepted
improvements in said real property and said property since that time has been used for public
purposes; and
WHEREAS, said real property was, by Grant Deeds recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of Alameda County on July 30, 1975, Deed 475-107456 on Reel 4050, Image 130 through
132, and Deed 475-107455 on Reel 4050, Image 124 through 129, acquired and now is owned by the
City of Alameda, and has been and row is being used for public purposes and because of such
public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Alameda he, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and to take
such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties
or costs charged or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcels of real property, to be
cancelled; and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody
of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward two (2) certified copies of this
Resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
4th day of May, 1976, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
