APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE INCLUSION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, 105 UNITS OF SECTION 8 HOUSING, IN THE
STATE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING'S APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the administration of Section 8 funds by the United States Department of
Housing and Urban Development requires that a different agency than the owner and manager of
property used for housing administer the funds; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Housing and Community Development is applying for
Section 8 funds; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda wishes to finance 105 units
through Section 8 funding;
80W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council
approves and authorizes the inclusion of the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, 105 units
of Section 8 housing, in the State Department of Housing application to the federal government for
Section R, or other related funds.
