AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH RANSOME COMPANY FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF ISLAND DRIVE AND CERTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORT FOR SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City, by authority and direction of its Council, advertised for sealed
proposals for the improvement of Island Drive north of Clubhouse Memorial Road and on July 6,
1976, accepted the bid of Ransome Company, a California Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the A, D. Little Environmental Impact Report for Harbor Bay Isle, is
applicable to this project which is part of the same project described therein and the environ-
mental effects of that part of the Harbor Bay Isle project applicable to this project are
similar enough to those described in the A. D. Little report which adequately covers said effects�
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAwEDA that the Mayor
and City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized to execute and to attest to, respectively,
on behalf of the City, an agreement with Rvnsnme Company for the furnishing of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the improvement of Island Drive north
of Clubhouse Memorial Road, in the City of Alameda, said agreement to be substantially in the
form of that heretofore placed in the office of the City Clerk and marked "Filed, August 3,
l975."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Council hereby CERTIFIES that the A. D. Little
Environmental Impact Report has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental
Quality Act and has reviewed and considered the information contained therch.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of August, I976, by the following vote, to wit
AYES: Councilmen Beckom, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
