CERTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT RESPECTING PROPOSED
BUENA VISTA NEIGHBORHOOD BUILDING
WHEREAS, the City has proposed to construct a neighborhood building in Buena Vista Park,
said Park being located within the north-central portion of the City and bounded by Buena Vista
Avenue, Pacific Avenue, Sherman Street and Benton Street; and
WHEREAS, the City, in compliance with the state Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended,
has made and prepared an environmental impact report covering the effects said project will have
on the environment; and
WHEREAS, The City Planning Board, at its regular meeting on August 16, 1976, approved a
Final Environmental Impact Report on the Buena Vista Park Neighborhood Building;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND CERTIFIED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that said Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in that certain document
prepared by the City Planning Department entitled, "Final EIR: Buena Vista Park Neighborhood Building
Phase I," filed in the office of the City Clerk on September 7, 1976, and that said Final
Environmental Impact Report has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental
Quality Act and state guidelines.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City ofRmnedo in regular meeting assembled on the
7th day of September, 1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Deckom, Diament^ Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
