AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF TIME FOR SUBMISSION OF SEALED BIDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALAMEDA POLICE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 6601, adopted October 5, 1976, the Council of the
City cf Alameda opted Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for construction
of the Alameda Police Administration Building and oiled for sealed bids to be
received up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1976, for
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for said work; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated October 15, 1976, Ratcliff, Slama & Cadwalader, the
architects for said project, have recommended that an extension of time for receiving
bids is in order to accommodate the exceptionally large response by bidders on said
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said
Council will receive sealed bids on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1976, base bids to be
received up to the hour of 3:00 p.m., alternate bids to be received up to the hour
of 4:00 p.m. and all bids to be opened at 4:00 p.m., for furnishing to the City of
all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the construction of
the Alameda Police Administration Building, in accordance with Specifications, Special
Provisions and Plans, No. PW 10-76-11.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled
on the 22nd day of October, 1976, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Becker and Diament, (2).
