Resolution 08629244 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8629 SETTING FORTH REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER MATERIALS SENT TO VOTERS WHEREAS, the Election Code, Section 10012, provides for the governing body of the local agency to make certain determinations in regards to a candidate's statement of Qualifications and other materials in addition to the sample ballot and voter's pamphlet to be sent to the voters; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: 1. Costs of printing, handling and translating the candidacy statement (Statement of qualifications) shall he borne by the candidate; 2. A candidacy statement (Statement of Qualifications) shall include no more than 200 words. 3. Each candidate shall not be permitted to prepare separately other materials to be sent to each voter in addition to the sample ballot and voter's pamphlet, * * * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 30th day of November, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Hurwitz, Sherratt and President Corica, (5).
