CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8633
COMMENDING BEATRICE M. ROWNEY FOR HER FORTY-TWO YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, BEATRICE M. ROWNEY, Recreation Supervisor, will be completing forty-two
years of service to the City of Alameda upon her retirement; and
WHEREAS, during this period of time she has worked diligently to provide outstanding
recreational activities for the citizens of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, she has devoted her career to the improvement of the recreational programs and
facilities of the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, through her participation in community activities she has helped develop
community-wide interest and participation in our City; and
WHEREAS, through her professional knowledge, diligence, and interest such programs
as Camping, Cultural Arts Activities, Programs for Seniors, and the Annual Holiday Decoration
Show were brought to Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby commends
BEATRICE M. ROWNEY for her devoted years of service to the citizens of Alameda through her
work in the Recreation and Park Department.
