RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON UNIMPROVED PARK SITE NOT
USED BY THE PUBLIC FOR PARK PURPOSES AND CONVEYED TO THE CITY
BY PARCEL MAP FOR PARK PURPOSES
WHEREAS, THE developers of The Garden Isle Townhouses on By Farm Island conveyed by
deed, Recorded on December 22, 1972 (RE: 330418:78B) a parcel of land designated as Parcels 2 and 3
on Parcel Map 970, and more fully described herein by Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, said deed and parcel were transferred to the City to satisfy the subdivision
requirements for dedication or payment of fees for park and recreational land pursuant to Ordinance
No. 1627, New Series; and
WHEREAS, no funds have been expended to improve the site as a park, said site has not
been used by the public for park purposes and no consideration has been paid for said site extent
by the City;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City cf Alameda has determined that said site is not
needed for park or recreation purposes but that money from the sale thereof should he used to
improve existing or future park and recreation sites on Bay Farm Island,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said
Council hereby declares its intention to abandon as a park that certain site described herein by
Exhibit A and to use the proceess from the sale thereof for improvements to existing or subsequently
acquired park and recreation sites on Bay Farm Island,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that on March 15, 1977, 7:30 8.8, the said Council shall meet
and hear any objections to abandonment of said site.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda cause this Resolution
of Intention to be published and posted as required by Government Code Section 38504 of the State
of California.
