APPROVING THE APPLICATION SUBMITTAL OF THE BUENA VISTA NEIGHBORHOOD
PARK FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATION
SOCIETY'S 1977 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda hs long recognized the value of the Buena Vista Park
Facility as described in the Recreation Element of the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens of this Community, the City Council, Recreation Commission and
City Staff have worked diligently together to accomplish and provide this vital improvement; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens have exhibited their acceptance of this facility by their
extensive use and on-going interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council
hereby supports the filing of an application with the California Park and Recreation Society for
consideration of a 1977 Environmental Award,
