Resolution 08710tu in) CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8710 DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER VACATION OF A PORTION OF COUNTY ROAD, A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, REFERRING TO CERTAIN MAP FOR PARTICULARS THEREOF, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON, AND ORDERING PUBLICATION AND POSTING OF NOTICES OF SAID PROPOSED VACATION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it is the intention of this Council to order the vacation of a certain portion of a public street, being a 17-foot strip of County Road containing 0.9873 acres more or less, in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 19a1, said protion being situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey Monument "MAIT-CLUB", having coordinates Y=455,687.22 feet and X= 1,497,730.40 feet based on the California Coordinates System, Zone III, as are all bearings and distances in this description: THENCE S. 863606" W. 86.36 feet to a point on the westerly line of Maitland Drive, as said Drive is shown on that certain map entitled "PROPERTY OF UTAH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, BAY FARM ISLAND IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA", filed August 13, 1956, in Book 40 of Maps at Pages 53 to 56, inclusive, County of Alameda Records; THENCE S. 11°23'32" W. along said westerly line 848.00 feet to an angle point; THENCE continuing along said westerly line 5. 00°4332 W 44.19 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, having coordinates Ye454,806.62 feet and X= 1,497,476.13 feet; THENCE S. 555633" E. 9,56 feet; THENCE southerly on a tangent curve concave southwesterly, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 56°4005, for an arc distance of 19.78 feet; THENCE: S. 00°4332" W. 138.89 feet; THENCE southerly on a tangent curve concave easterly, having a radius of 95.00 feet, through a central angle of 24'3340", for an arc distance of 40.72 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE southerly along a curve concave westerly, the center of which bears 5. 66'0952' W. from said last named point, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 77'50'56', for an arc distance of 27.17 feet to a point on said westerly line of Maitland Drive; THENCE along said westerly line N. 39°16'28" W. 30.11 feet and N. 00'4332" E. 201.62 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 0,0873 acres, more or less. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reference is hereby made for particulars of the proposed vacation to that certain map entitled "Portion of County Road Abandonment Mecartney Road to Island Drive," prepared by the City Engineer, dated April, 1977, denominated Drawing 7379B, Case 51 in his records, and on file in the office of the City Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Council hereby finds and determines that public convenience and necessity do not require reservation on the City of Alameda pursuant to Sections 8330 and 8331, Streets and Highways Code of California, of any easements or rights of way in the said portion of the street proposed to be vacated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all proceedings for the vacation herein proposed shall be in accordance with the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of California, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice is hereby given that the 7th day of June, 1977, at 7:30 p.n. is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Alameda, California, as the place, for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the herein proposed vacation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notices of the street vacation herein proposed to be posted conspicuously along the line of said street, at least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted and such notices shall state the passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place of the hereinabove mentioned hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to have this resolution published in the manner prescribed by Section 3-14 of the Charter of the City of Alameda for the publishing of ordinances. 346 * * * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of May, 1977, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckarn, Diament, Tillman and President Corica, (4).
