REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
(1517 OAK STREET, 2260 LINCOLN AVENUE AND 2264 LINCOLN AVENUE)
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State
of California, described as County Account No. 71-219-1 and commonly designated as 1537 Oak
Street, 2260 Lincoln Avenue and 2264 Lincoln Avenue, has been assessed heretofore for County
purposes for the fiscal year 1976-77 and taxes levied thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, said property was acquired by Order for Immediate possession, filed
July 1, 1976 in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Alameda, City of
Alameda v. Joseph F. Gay, et al., No. 479451-8, and by Grand Deed recorded in the office of
the County Recorder of Alameda County on April 26, 1977, Reel 4826, Image 1, Recorder's
Receipt No. 77-77348, and since July 1, 1976 has been and now is owned by the. City of Alameda,
and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the board
of Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and
to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments,
penalties or costs charged or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real
property, to be cancelled; and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or
officers having custody of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section
4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward two (2) certified copies of this
Resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
7th day of June, 1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckon, Sherratt, Tillman and Vice President Diament, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Corica, (1).
