CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (1537 OAK STREET, 2260 LINCOLN AVENUE AND
2264 LINCOLN AVENUE)
WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda,
State of California, more particularly described as AB 166/3 and commonly designated as 1537
Oak Street, 2260 Lincoln Avenue and 2264 Lincoln Avenue, has been assessed heretofore
for the fiscal year 1976-77 and taxes levied thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, said property was acquired by Order for Immediate Possession, filed July 1,
1976 in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Alameda, City of Alameda v.
Joseph F. Gay, et al., No. 479451-8, and by Grant Deed recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of Alameda County on April 26, 1977, Reel 4826, Image 1, Recorder's Receipt No.
77-77348, and is now owned by the City of Alameda for municipal purposes, and because of such
public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA, with the written
consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied
for City purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon
be, and the same hereby are, cancelled and the Auditor and the Tax Collector of the City of
Alameda a'e hereby authorized and directed to cancel same on their respective books.

I, Carter J. Stroud, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do
hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and
penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied fcr City purposes upon the parcel of real
property described in the within Resolution.
