AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT AND PROGRAM
SUPPLEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO
CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANcB 0B CULVERTS AT TWO
SITES UNDER TUT SAFER ROADS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8665 adopted February l,
1977, De-
partment
portation Agency, entered into an agreement for federal funds to
be made available for use on Federal-Aid Safety Improvement
Projects within the City of Alameda; and
WEEREAS, Local Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5014 covering
Federal-Aid Projects in the City of Alameda and Program Supplement
No. 1 covering funding for construction of culverts at Fountain
Street and Adams street and the east side of Court Street at
Washington Street have been submitted to this Council, and the
Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the MaYor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, for and on behalf of the CitY of Alameda, Local
AgencY -State Agreement No. 04-5014 and Program Supplement No. 1
with the State of California, acting through Department of Trans-
portation District No. 4 of its Business and Transportation AgencY/
for the construction and maintenance of culverts at Fountain Street
and Adams Street and the east side cf Court Street at Washington
Street under the Safer Roads Demonstration Program, The City
Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
I the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adoPted eY the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of June, 1977, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Beckam, t, Sherratt, Tillman and
President Corica, (5).
