CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO 8775
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1977-1978; APPROPRIATING CERTAIN MONEYS FOR THE
EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SAID BUDGET FOR SAID FISCAL
YEAR AND RATIFYING CERTAIN EXPENDITURES HERETOFORE
MADE
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this
Council, at this meeting, a budget representing a financial plan
for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1977 and ending June 30, 1978, which
budget is marked "Filed with the City Clerk in open meeting of
the City Council, September 6, 1977";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said budget as submitted to this Council at this
meeting, and each and every part thereof, be and the same is
hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City of Alameda
for the fiscal Year 1977-1978/ and that the expenditures of the
various sums of money therein provided to be spent for salaries
and wages, maintenance and operation, and capital outlay, by each
department as therein listed in detail, are hereby approved and
authorized in total, by the above object classification, as the
appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1978.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be and are hereby,
appropriated for the fiscal year 1977-1978, the specified sums
for thc purpose of meeting the cost of salaries and wages paid
officers and employees, the cost of maintenance, operations, and
for equipment and other capital outlay of the respective depart-
ments, divisions, offices and boards of the City, and for all
other purposes designated in said budget for the respective
Purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices and boards
of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes
designated in said budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriations here-
in provided for are made out of the General Fund for the fiscal
year 1977_1978, except those made to or for purposes for which
special funds are established, and as to such last mentioned
purposes said appropriations are made out of the special funds
respectively established therefor.
Rt BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may have
been made by the several departments, divisions, offices and
boards of the City after the beginning of the fiscal year
1977-1978 and prior to the adoption of this resolution, and have
been or may be duly approved by the City Auditor, are hereby
a) ratified, confirmed and approved, and shall be respectively
charged against the appropriations herein and in said budget
provided for
I, the undersigned, hereby Ce'rtify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and•adopted:by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the September, 1977, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament•Sherratt, Tillman and President Corica, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Deckam, (1).
