Resolution 08812CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8812 CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES (CITY HALL PARKING LOT - 2216 LINCOLN AVENUE) WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, more particularly described as AB 166/11 and connonly designated as 2216 Lincoln Avenue, has been assessed heretofore for the fiscal year 1976-77 and taxes levied thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and WHEREAS, said property was acquired by Order for Immediate Possession, filed June 17, 1976 in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Alameda, City of Alameda v. Rose A. Cleary, et al., Action No 479450-9, and by Final Order of Condemnation entered August 5, 1977 and recorded August 10, 1977 in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on Reel 4997, Image 232, Recorder's Receipt No 77-159157, and since June 17, 1976 has been and is now owned by the City of Alameda for municipal purposes, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for City purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon be, and the same hereby are cancelled and the Auditor and the Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel same on their respective books. * I, Carter J. Stroud, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes upon the parcel of real property described in the within Resolution.
