ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS, AND PLANS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ARCH CULVERTS AT FOUNTAIN STREET
AND ADAMS STREET AND AT COURT STREET AND WASHINGTON
STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, there have been prepared by the City Engineer
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for the construction
of arch culverts at Fountain Street and Adams Street and at Court
Street and Washington Street, No.;PW 7 -77 -9, and filed in the
office of the City Clerk on November 15, 1977;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the said Specifications, Special Provisions and
Plans be, and the same are, hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion
of the work specified in said Specifications and Provisions be
and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock
a.m, on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9„ 1977, for furnishing to the City
of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the
City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed
cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Construc-
tion of Arch Culverts at Fountain Street and Adams Street and at
Court Street and Washington Street," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of ;the City of Alameda, to the
responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any
prospective bidder on application to the City Engineer, at his
office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times- Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of November,
1977, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Tillman and President Corica, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt, (1).
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
