COMMENDING CLEMENCE MacIVER FOR HER SERVICE TO THE YOUTH
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, MRS. CLEMENCE MacIVER has shown her love for the youth
of the City of Alameda by her tireless and enthusiastic efforts in their
behalf; and
WHEREAS, she has for the past twenty-one years given wholeheartedly
of her time and efforts serving as a Crossing Guard for the younger children
of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda hereby commends this outstanding public servant for her loyalty and
devotion to the interests of the youth of the City and her contribution to good
government.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is extended to Mrs. Maclver and her
family every good wish for a long, healthful, and happy life in the retirement
she has so faithfully worked to achieve.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of January,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman,
and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
