AMENDING CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 8575 RELATING
TO EMPLOYMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
City of Alameda Resolution No, 8575, adopted August 3, 1976, .is
hereby amended as follows:
1. The title of Resolution No. 8575 is hereby amended
to read:
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO
EMPLOYMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA COVERED BY THE CURRENT SALARY
AND POSITION RESOLUTION.
2, Section 1 of Resolution No. 8575 is hereby amended
to read:
1. VACATION RELIEF, SICK LEAVE RELIEF, PART-TIME
EMPLOYMENT
Subject to the availability of budgeted funds,
any of the classes listed in the current Salary
and Position Resolution may be filled on a tempo-
rary or part-time basis for vacation relief, sick
leave relief, and authorized part-time employment.
Also, subject to the availability of budgeted
funds, when a permanent position is to be vacated
and it is necessary to train a replacement, or
for other valid reason, one additional position in
any of the above classes may be filled by Civil
Service appointment, subject to the approval of
the City Manager.
3. Paragraph E of Section 8 of Resolution No. 8575 is
hereby deleted.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of January,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman,
and President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
