AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH YELLOW CAB
COMPANY RELATING TO CITY'S SENIOR CITIZENS
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a contract with the
County of Alameda whereunder City has been allocated funds as
the Contractor for the purpose of conducting a Senior Citizens
Transportation Assistance Program as defined within the pro-
visions of Title III of the Older Americans Act, 1965, as
amended; and
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement with Yellow Cab Company,
a California corporation doing business as Yellow Cab, for its
services in implementing the contract with the County of Alameda
has been submitted to this Council, and the Council is fully
informed and aware of the terms and conditions thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Alameda that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, that
certain agreement referred to above by and between Yellow Cab
Company and the City of Alameda, for services relating to the
City's Senior Citizens Transportation Assistance Program. The
City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of February,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, and President Corica, (4).
NOES: None.
'ABSENT: Councilman Tillman, (1).
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
official seal of said City this 2nd day of February, 1978.
