CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8889
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WHEELCHAIR RAMPS AT VARIOUS
LOCATIONS IN THE CITY, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications,
Special Provisions and Plans for the construction of wheelchair
ramps at various locations in the City, P.W. 4-78-2 and filed
in the,office of the City Clerk on April 18, 1978;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the said Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and com-
pletion of the work specified in said Specifications and
Provisions be and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 11:00
o'clock a.m. on Friday, May 12, 1978, for furnishing to the
City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
necessary for the work hereinabove referred to in accordance
with said Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans. Bids
must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the out-
side, "Proposal for Construction of Wheelchair Ramps in the
City of Alameda," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded will be awarded to the responsible
bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is
reserved to reject any or all bids. Funding for this project
will be supplied by H.C.D.A. as shown in the current budget
under Capital Improvement Project No 77-10a and is subject
701 to approval by H.C.D.A.

Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any
prospective bidder on application to the City Engineer, at
his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans.
T, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of April,
1978, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: 'Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, and Tillman, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Corica, (1).
