Resolution 08891CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 8891 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES OF INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR, DANIEL F. REIDY WHEREAS, the owners of a large vacant property in the City of Alameda desire to develop it as Marina Village; and WHEREAS, said development will raise special technical, planning and design issues to be reviewed under CEQA; and WHEREAS, the City currently has no expertise to evaluate and identify these problems; and WHEREAS, City therefore requires the services of a competent and qualified person to perform this service; and WHEREAS, DANIEL F. REIDY represents himself as having the professional competence and ability to perform this service; and WHEREAS, a form of contract between the City and said independent contractor has been submitted, by which said services are to be rendered, and which encompasses the nature, extent and scope thereof, and this Council is informed of the contents of said Agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and attest to, respectively, that certain proposed Agreement for services hereinabove referred to on behalf of the City with DANIEL F. REIDY, by which the latter will perform personal services in relation to the development of Marina Village, as more fully set out in the Agreement. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of April, 1978, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: 'Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, and Tillman, (4). NOES: None. ABSENT: President Corica, (1). IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 19th day of April, 1978.
