Resolution 08898CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 8898 DECLARING INTENTION TO PROHIBIT, BY ORDINANCE, THE USE OF CERTAIN CITY STREETS BY ANY VEHICLE EXCEEDING MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT OF THREE TONS; SETTING DATE OF HEARING THEREON BY CITY COUNCIL, AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SAID HEARING, PURSUANT TO ART. 4, CH. 5, DIV. 15, VEHICLE CODE OF CALIFORNIA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it intends to enact an ordinance prohibiting the use by any and all vehicles whose maximum gross weight exceeds three tons on the following public streets in the City of Alameda: (1) High Street, for its entire length; (2) San Jose Avenue, from High Street to Peach Street; (3) Peach Street, from San Jose Avenue to Otis Drive. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Wednesday, July 5, 1978, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber located in the City Hall, is hereby set as the time and place this Council will hold a public hearing on its said intention and will make a determination on whether to limit the weight of vehicles using such streets, and at which all interested persons may submit objections to the proposed action. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of such hearing to be given and published in the manner and at the time provided for in Section 35705 of the Vehicle Code of California, being a part of Art. 4, Ch. 5, Div. 15 of said Code. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of May, 1978, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Tillman, and President Corica, (4).
