AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES WITH EARTH METRICS, INCORPORATED, FOR TIIE
PREPARATION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR
ALAMEDA MARINA VILLAGE PROJECT
AS, Alameda Marina Village Associates, has proposed a
residential - commercial- recreational development project for a 205
acre site along the Alameda side of the Oakland - Alameda Estuary;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Alameda on May 1,
1978, determined that the proposed project would require an
Environmental Impact Report pursuant to the Guidelines for the
implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has conducted a c
selection process for this EIR pursuant to City Counc
8843, 8891 and 8894, and the selection criteria estab

WHEREAS, the City's special environmental consultant, the
Planning Director, and Alameda Marina Village Associates have
agreed that the consultant firm of Earth Metrics, Incorporated
should be selected by the City of Alameda to prepare this EIR; and
WHEREAS, the consultant firm, Earth Metrics, Incorporated,
has proposed a comprehensive EIR process that should meet State
requirements, result in a useful planning tool for Alameda, and
reasonably conserve the City's and the developer's lime and
resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, that certain
agreement referred to above by and between Earth Metrics, Incorpo-
rated, and the City of Alameda, to prepare an Environmental Impact
Report for the Alameda Marina Village Project, the cost to be borne
by Alameda Marina Village Associates in accordance with the con -
tract between Earth Metrics and the City of Alameda: The City
Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of July,
1973, by the following vote, to wit;
