Resolution 08974CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 8974 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH PROVIDENCE VETERINARY HOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT OF INJURED OR SICK ANIMALS WEIOSE OWNERS ARE UNKNOWN (NORMAL WORKING HOURS) WHEREAS, a proposed agreement with Providence Veterinary Hospital for its services relating to emergency treatment of injured or sick animals whose owners are unknown and are taken to the veterinary hospital by Pound personnel, a Police Officer or a private citizen during normal working hours that said hospital is open for business, and which provides for certain payment by the City therefor, has been submitted to this Council, and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions thereof; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda that said agreement, for a term commencing on July 1, 1978 and ending on June 30, 1979, be entered into; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City, that certain agreement referred to above by and between Providence Veterinary Hospital and the City of Alameda, for its services relating to emergency treatment of injured or sick animals whose owners are unknown. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of September, 1978, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Beckam, Diament, Sherratt, Tillman, and President Corica, (5). NOES: None, ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 6th day of September, 1978. City Clerk of the City of Alameda
