APPROVING JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF THE EAST
BAY CITY AND COUNTY COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the certain Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Establishing the
East Bay City and County Cooperative Library System by and among
the City of Alameda, the City of Berkeley, the City of Oakland,
the City of Richmond, the County of Alameda and the County of
Contra Costa, providing for the establishment of an East Bay city
and county cooperative library system, to be known as the Bay
Area Library and Information System, to participate in programs
authorized by and to administer grant funds received under the
California Library Services Act, be and the same hereby is
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said agreement on
behalf of the City of Alameda.
